Be Kind But Set Limits

Remember to do unto others as you want done to you. This is hard once you’ve been hurt by someone. Especially when they do you wrong or betray you without any remorse.

As my best friend once said, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” He was right because despite their actions, you should never retaliate against them. Instead of getting even, try walking away and let them know they hurt you.

Only you can stop the craziness that happens when certain people are around you. Be kind to everyone around you, but set strict limits that keep them from hurting you over and over again.

Don’t allow someone to walk all over you because they may be your family members or close friends. Say no and mean it! However, be respectful as well, since you have a close relationship with them.

Try to explain what they did that hurt or betrayed you in a calm manner despite their attitude. Be clear and quickly get to the point you are trying to make.

Then, try to resolve the issue or keep away from this person. At least until there is a resolution that is respectful and heartfelt. This way, you will find out the truth about this person before they really do major emotional damage.
